- Pack a length of plastic drain pipe ! It's not heavy and can be stuffed with socks etc. It comes into its own when you want to carry a poster, picture or bottle. (Thanks to David with whom I travelled through Lebanon & Syria)
- Half empty tooth paste tubes : Use a tube at home until it is half-empty and the put it aside for your next trip : it's a marginal saving on weight & space.
- Free WiFi : At airports free WiFi often 'leaks' from airlines' lounges. Find a nearby seat and you may be able to log on for free (Thanks to David with whom I travelled through Lebanon & Syria)
